What does the nutritional label warning mean?

The purpose of Proposition 65 is to notify California consumers that there is a potential risk of exposure to chemicals that are known to cause cancer and/or reproductive toxicity. We have to include this warning since we distribute our food to California. This warns consumers that the product may contain one of the 800 chemicals outlined in Prop 65. The basic idea of Prop 65 is to notify customers of potential risk and then allow them to decide on their own if they want to purchase or use the product.

Even though Prop 65 is required on a product, it does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. At Purple Carrot all of our products meet federal regulatory standards, and product safety is a core principle of our organization.
