We add B12 to many of our recipes with nutritional yeast, seaweed, and shiitake mushrooms.
That being said, because the majority of vitamin B12 comes from animal sources, many plant-based eaters find themselves deficient in this vitamin without supplementation. Whether or not you need B12 supplements is totally unique to you! We suggest getting your B12 level checked by your doctor periodically and discussing appropriate supplementation based on your medical history.
